There is a whole bunch of new exciting pools around that are calling for a back flip, a few energetic laps or a lazy float-around with a lip-smacking cocktail in hand. Put your new fancy swimmers on and let’s make a splash!
This one has been a talk of the town since it opened a couple of weeks ago. And no wonder: 5-meter high jumping tower! salt water pool! pizza to die for! This beautiful and very spacious beach club in the hidden corner of Seminyak – no, there is no beach access, but you won’t even notice that – is all white, taking you somewhere like Mikonos. It doesn’t feel like Bali we all know, and we love-love-loving this.
The menu is neat and simple: grilled seafood, thin-crusted pizza coming from two wooden ovens, a couple of heavenly desserts (you really should try the burnt chocolate one!) and an extensive list of cocktails. ‘Cause that’s what you here for: to laze in the shallow part of the pool sipping on the passionfruit martini as the name of the venue suggests, watching the testosterone parade that is happening around the dive tower.

Welcome to Ubud’s newest luxury playground. You shouldn’t necessarily be the hotel guest to enjoy this amazing infinity pool overlooking the lush jungle: just pop in for the elegant lunch/brunch and have a dip after. The water is cool during the day to provide an invigorating oasis on warm afternoons and is heated when the temperature drops. Perfect for those comfortable morning and evening swims! Don’t forget to breaststroke to the Sunken Pool Bar for a glass of bubbles. This life should be celebrated!

What once used to be a hippie chillout on the grassy strip of the beach with beanbags, straw mats, swing and that popular slickline for working on your balance has morphed into a cute beachfront restaurant with a fancier attitude and then eventually transformed into the proper beach club with the latest addition – the infinity pool overlooking the famous Batu Bolong surf spot. Grab a pitcher on frose – an adult version of the slushie made of rose wine – and have a very, very relaxing sunset session watching the tanned salty dogs taking one wave after another.
