Ubud has always been the place to go for the lush greenery, rice fields-meet-the-jungle kind of views, monkeys hanging off your balcony, all things nature, down-to-earth vibes, well, you know. Unleash your inner goddess and reconnect to pacha mama kind of things. But then Bisma 8 has landed in the middle of the up-and-coming Bisma street and we have rapidly shifted our minds: apparently, we’ve been ready for some serious city coolness among all the happy-hippie situation happening around!
It’s not just another modern hotel, it’s a design object, really. All concrete and matte teak wood, sharp lines and sleek decor elements – not too many, just enough to highlight the amazing taste of the people behind this gem. We love it that some rooms have a Japanese wooden bath instead of a boring tub, that they have their own hip coffee shop (a perfect little hideaway on a hot humid day!) and host some cool community events like our favourite Pasar-Pasaran makers&crafters market. Seriously, these guys nailed the idea of coolness – call it Ubud’s own Ace Hotel if you wish
Scandinavian vibes with a touch of retro, hushed hues and understated chic – we love all of the above!
We do love exploring the streets of Ubud, bend our backs at Yoga Barn and shop away on Hanoman street but this hotel puts a spell on us: we just don’t wanna leave! Ok, one look at their infinity pool and you won’t judge us for that
