POP A BOTTLE OF BUBBLY: IT’S A FINAL COUNTDOWN!
There are heaps (and heaps!) of parties going on in Bali on December 31 but here is the crème de la crème of NYE, hand picked by our nightlife expert Maria Sel. No standing, Only dancing!
Potato Head Beach Club // Seminyak
Tropicana vibes! Guys, put your monkey costume on, and ladies, the Amazon outfit for you – jungle’s calling. The special treat at Tropical Fire Dance party is DJ-set by young legends electronic band Rudimental, who’ll set PTTH on fire, rest assured. It’s going to be a HOT start of 2017! Dressing up is highly recommended. Theme: Masks and Monkeys. Stay wild!

Woo Bar @ W Hotel // Seminyak
UK music invasion in Bali! Crazy female DJ duo ELI & FUR is coming directly from London to make all of us dance like there is no 2017. UK-based producer Sevendoors gonna keep ladies a good company. If you love a great party this one is defo not to be missed!
Party time: 7pm – late
Entrance fee: Rp.1.000.000
707 Beach Berm // Seminyak
Best sunset view, relaxed setup and the finest electronic beats, that’s our favorite secret spot in Batu Belig, right in between Seminyak and Canggu! And yes, this cozy beach bar is confident enough –at last! – to throw a NYE party. We personally know the resident DJs Shammui, Ben Burgess, Philipe and Kocu, and you can trust us, they gonna make you dance big time! This spot is perfect for those who want to be closer to the ocean at the countdown. Bonus: you can see the fireworks by all the major beach clubs, absolutely for free!
Party time: 4pm – 2 am
Entrance fee: Free
Wood shack // Bukit
Looking for something different for the Big Night? How about NYE rock-n-roll style? Head to this freshly opened clifftop bar in the middle of nowhere – ok, sorry, technically it’s in the middle of Ungasan, in-between Greenbowl and Pandawa beach. Psychedelic tunes from The Zephyr band, relaxed vibe – no need to dress up! – and the mighty breath of the ocean. Let’s rock, baby!
Sea Vu Play // Seminyak
Carnival mood: fortune tellers, old school bar flaring, tricks from magicians and dance performance! Nothing new, but hey, that doesn’t sound bad at all, right? Join the ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ bash, finish a couple of bottles of bubbly and run away with the circus ?
NB: This party would be perfect for the big companies as the place is quite spacious.
Party time: 4pm – onwards
Entrance fee: FREE entry before 9 PM, 250K after 9PM
KOH // Seminyak
Welcome on the dark side of Bali nightlife. We love Koh for its underground vibe: if you need a teleport to Berlin or London, you’ve opened the right door. This is the NYE party address for all the true night creatures of Bali. Guess who’s behind the decks? BUSHWACKA himself! If you’ve never heard of this guy you have no clue about the modern electronic scene, sorry. Warning: this party is for true techno lovers only!
Party time: 10pm – till sun goes up
Entrance fee: Rp. 350k – 400k (limited)
Chaps // Canggu
The cheeky name tells it all. Can you guess what’s going on here? This sexy bar has cozy nooks and poles, so get ready to spend a very hot sticky night swinging your hips. They have a special guest taking care of the turntables: all the Canggu youngsters are waiting for that exclusive DJ Set by Hippo Disco, British collective based in Asia. Hip NYE, Canggu style.
Party time: 9 pm – 4 am
Entrance fee: 350K (2 drinks, free finger food, free champagne on countdown)
Double-Six Rooftop // Legian
Located right between Kuta and Seminyak, this place attracts us with its unbeatable ocean view. Yes, it’s on the very top, and there is no better place to enjoy fireworks flashing all over the Southern coast of Bali. Nice tunes and great cocktails. A classy way to meet a brand new year.
Party time: 5pm – 2 am
Entrance Fee: Free from 5pm – 9pm, 150K – from 9pm – 2am
Finn’s Beach Club // Canggu
Beach club party is the ultimate way to celebrate NYE in Bali. Good vibes, massive fireworks, quality drinks and lots of splashes! Yeah, it’s Bali, baby! Read our post on what to expect at Finns on the last night of 2016 and the first day of 2017 here.
Party time: 10pm – 3 am
Entrance fee: Free (minimum F&B spend applies)
Karma Beach // Bukit
NYE celebration where the dress code is bikini – you can’t get more tropical than this! We love Karma for its Ibiza-style house music, nice food, and amazing secluded beach. The party is called “Alice in Wanderlust” but we’d call it “Lost in Paradise” instead ?
Party time: 1pm – 1am
Ku De Ta Bali // Seminyak
Really? Tropicana again?! Yes, but this time let’s get posh. Dress up, put your best shoes on and spray some golden dust on your decollete. The posters promise some sort of exotic/flamboyant/pink flamingo kind of extravaganza, heavily seasoned with DJs Peter Herbert’s and Stu Mac’s tunes. Looks like Bali venues teamed up and plotted the UK invasion in Bali, really. We are totally not complaining tho! ?
Party time: 7pm – 4am
Entrance fee: 850K (pre-sale)
Shanghai Baby // Seminyak
This is a VVIP party, you’ve been warned. The name of event organizing group Incognito Gigs speaks for itself. High-rated DJs, dark, sexy setup, 3 levels of bars and dancefloors, Belvedere Lounge at the rooftop for VIPs of VIPs. Check out the lineup: Prok & Fitch, My Digital Enemy, Manuel De la Mare, Sean Doyle, B-T-K, Pyrope, Joshua Davidson, Glynn Tandy, these guys will make sure you are having a blast on the last night of the year. That’s what we party folk call LUXURY.
Party time: 8pm – 3 am
Entrance fee: 999K
Sky Garden // Kuta
Ok, let’s pretend it’s not us telling you that. We never go to Kuta to party, period. And honestly, on NYE it’s gonna be mental there. So here is our advice: don’t even think about it…unless you are under 30 y/o, enjoy mad crowds smashing streets and love EDM. If you have no idea what EDM stands for, stop reading now, you’re officially old. Wanna be breaking bad at NYE night? Sky Garden is your lucky address. We even envy you, ‘cause we would love to see those two sweetest Italian guys VINAI in person. By the way, they are number 37 in TOP100DJ in the world and their track “Raveology” has been #1 in Beatport chart in 2014. Who’s ready for the trip to the land of madness?
Party time: 8 pm – 4 am
Entrance fee: 250K
